Tidings of comfort and joy! Friday December 7th, RI US rang in the holiday season with a day of sharing meals and giving gifts to both fellow team members, and to the community.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the RI Bentonville office’s Christmas festivities reflected nothing short of acknowledging the season of giving. However, the afternoon Christmas lunch at Big Orange burgers was more of a season of “grabbing,” as participants attempted to gain possession of sought-after gifts brought for “Dirty Santa,” using steals and chancing fate to tie up their winnings in a bow and wrap up the competition.
The day continued with a visit to Pack Shack, a non-profit organization that brings people together to pack nutritious meals for local families in need. Splitting into three groups, the team filled, boxed, and vacuum-sealed packages of soy, cheese, vegetables, vitamins, and pasta, resulting in 2,200 meals being packed for dispersion into the NWA community.
The festivities concluded with a company dinner at The Preacher’s Son, a 20th century Church-turned-bistro in the Bentonville area. It is RI’s atmosphere of hard work and generosity that not only makes moments like these possible, but well-deserved, and well worth the while. From RI US, may your days be merry and bright!
